Tuesday Talk - A Day In The Life!!

HAPPY TUESDAY!!! I cannot believe that it is already Tuesday Talk Tuesday, can you!!?? Also, I can't believe that St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow! So, how are you all today! I mean it is mid-March, and almost spring, and I want to know how you all are doing!!?? Can you believe that in 5 days it will be spring! Do you guys know what else I am excited about? A new Publix is opening near me in a couple of weeks, and my family is ecstatic!!! Anyways, enough of my rambling, let's get on with this month's edition of Tuesday Talk!! The last time I did a Tuesday Talk, I also shared A Day In The Life, buuuttt I just love doing them, and I documented it down and it fit perfectly to do it today, so it'll be okay!! But I will try to find another topic for next month!! Let's go!!

*Linking up with Ashley, Erika, and Shelbee

My day started out at 5:30 AM, I have been working on getting more sleep. Yes, that also means going to bed earlier, but also letting myself sleep in for thirty more minutes. Also, on Mondays, I don't have very much schoolwork and my zooms start later, so I have been letting myself sleep in until 6:30-6:45.

I use the app Sleep Booster, or now it is called Avrora, to track my sleep, play calming music, and wake me up! I love it! First, it plays my alarm and shows me the time, then it asks me to rate my sleep, next it shows me an inspirational quote, and then it shows me my sleep stats!

That night I got 7 hours and 53 minutes, but it doesn't count my minutes asleep until the go-to-sleep-music finishes playing, and I am normally passed out by then, sooo, I count that as 8 hours.

When I walked into the living room, Lincoln was chewing on his femur, trust me, it's not a real one, just a toy one!! Seeing Lincoln in the mornings is always a highlight!!

While I waited for my tea to steep, I took a selfie with Dad, and Clara, and Lambie (Clara insisted I take a photo with him!).

Then I walked outside to the see sunrise, it was super gorgeous that morning! Trust me, the photo does not do it justice!

Pip also enjoys watching the sunrise!

I am not sure if you guys know, but Pip is kind of a silly kitty. He sits on our kitchen table all of the time, so I thought it was hilarious that he was in the background of this photo! Anyways, while I was sipping on tea, I was also making ... CINNAMON ROLLS!!! I feel like I always try to make the day I am documenting for A Day In The Life a little more special, but who doesn't want cinnamon rolls for breakfast!?

While the cinnamon rolls were in the oven, I checked the weather for the day, and look, the high was literally 80!! Yep, enjoying our summer weather down here in Alabama!

Also while the rolls were cooking I photographed Charles Dickens, how cute is he!!

And photographed Pip!

Then the rolls were ready!! It might be an understatement to say that we merely enjoyed them!!

Remember how I mentioned that we listen to the song Le Festin on repeat, wellllllll, here's that evidence!

And we also have this great shot of Clara enjoying her cinnamon roll! I honestly have no idea why she is making that face! 🤣🤣

When I was all finished with my cinnamon roll and breakfast, I got ready for the day. And it looks like I took no photos, but that's okay, we have plenty more for the other parts of my day!

Anyways, when I was done getting ready, it was time for my morning run!!

This was my run time for that day, not my best, but not too shabby.

And Post-Run!

After my runs, I always like to practice volleyball for a little while. I don't want to have to serve and chase my ball over and over, so I normally serve onto the roof. The real challenge that day was trying to set up the camera to photograph it!! ;)

When I had served a couple balls to the roof, I went back inside, and found Pip bird-watching from the kitchen window!

Then, I found Lincoln in the back room working with Mom, and by working, I mean sitting in the chair playing with his hippo toy!! This puppy cracks me up!

I love this one, so cute!

I made my bed, and quickly hopped onto my first zoom at 8!

While I was on zoom, Mom went on a little walk with Lincoln.

During my science zoom at 8, we went over a checkpoint in a project that I had already finished, so I worked on writing everything down in my planner for that day!

Then, it was time for my math zoom at 8:59!! That day we were working on studying up for our End Of Unit Assessment on Linear Relationships!

When that zoom was over, I had a little bit of time in between it and my English zoom at 9:53. I was freezing, so I cuddled into a blanket and waited for the zoom to start.

Then I got this notification............ :(

Why does the one day I am documenting A Day In The Life, the zoom gets canceled? Insert me sighing....... Luckily, I did not actually have any work that I needed to do for English, because the Checkpoint got moved, so I played with Lincoln instead!

This was Pip from my window!

Then, it was time for lunch!! That day I had shredded chicken on a bun, it was leftovers from what we had had for dinner!!

Then I settled down to blog for a bit, and by a bit, I mean around two hours!!

Apparently, I was listening to music and had a jam session and had to take some photos of it.

When I was all done blogging I had to get ready for volleyball, and then we left!

Our practice is from 5-7, but unfortunately, I did not take any photos of it, but I do have a selfie from on the way home!

For dinner that night I had chicken fingers, green beans, and roasted butternut squash!

I also ended up having some ice cream! I was having chocolate moose tracks, but I also wanted some vanilla and ended up having both!

Before I got into the shower, Pip was in my room and was being so sweet, so I let him be a cuddle-kitty!

Then I showered and got ready for bed.

When I got into bed, Pip ended up coming up and laying down with me! He is the sweetest!

I did some reading and went to bed!

Well, friends, that is a day in my life! I hope you all enjoyed, and that you all have a wonderful, wonderful day! I will see you tomorrow!

And is your one cat really named Charles Dickens? That is so awesome! I am currently reading some Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities actually. Thanks so much for sharing your day with us and linking up with me!

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Friday Favorites - 1.19.21 + A Big Surprise!!

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
