Maddie.

Hey friends! Happy Wednesday!! I am so happy to say that I am back to blogging! The weekend before last was my volleyball tournament, and I honestly was not too prepared with my blog, then on Wednesday, something big happened so I decided to just take a little break. I did miss it a lot! I know today is Let's Look, but today is going to be a little different.

On February 3, we had to put my sweet pup Maddie to sleep. As you guys might know, Maddie suffered from cancer. We found out in mid-January, and we were told that we only had a couple of weeks left, so we made the best of it. Maddie had a wonderful last couple of days.

I don't want today's post to be sad, so instead, I am going to be sharing some of our favorite memories and photos of Maddie's  life.

Maddie was such a great cuddle buddy!! She was so sweet and was always up for a nap!!

This was Mads laying out in the sunshine one of her final days. She enjoyed it so much.

Maddie also loved laying by the pool.

I love this picture of Mads. She was such a pretty girl.

Maddie loved to lay in the sun. She would lay out in the sun for hours enjoying her time outside.

Maddie would always let us dress her up. Here she is as a pilgrim, with a sombrero, as a pilot, and in her birthday hat.

Maddie loved to go on runs and walks with us. She was always so excited whenever we got her harness out!! I so miss going on our morning walks.

We have so many fun photos of Mads!!

This was Maddie's glam shot!! We laughed so hard!!

Pip and Maddie passed out together, so sweet!!

Pip and Mads cuddling again!!

In the summer, our elephant ears grew to be huge!! Maddie looks tiny compared to that one!!

Another pretty shot of Maddie!

This is one of our all-time favorite pictures of Maddie!! When we were planting our flowers and tomatoes one summer, and Maddie decided to knock one over!! We had such a laugh over this!!!

Our family loved Maddie so much. She was such a meaningful member of our family. Maddie was such a smart dog, she was always affectionate, she was funny, and she truly cared for all of us. Maddie was probably the best dog we have ever had, truly. Maddie is so missed, but getting to have her as our pet was so worth it.
We love you and miss you, Maddie!!

  19. So sorry for your loss Abby. Losing a pet feels like losing a family member-- because they ARE family members! It looks like Maddie had such a sweet, happy life. She was clearly so well loved by your family. All of her hats and outfits were cracking me up! If you've never read the children's book Dog Heaven, it's worth a read. It's a sweet look at what our favorite lost pets are doing in heaven.

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
