January 2021 Review

Hey there!! Happy, happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful, wonderful weekend, and I hope you are having a wonderful start to your Monday!! Today, I am sharing my January monthly review, something I have been meaning to share for a while, but as you saw last week, was postponed. 2021 has been a pretty good year so far, and I hope it stays that way! For today's post, the format is going to be a little all over the place, as I am sharing all of the random things that occurred in January!

DAILY LIFE:

In January, my daily life was pretty normal. I woke up around 5 AM, ate breakfast, got ready, took Clara to the bus stop, went on a run, worked on school, hopped on zoom meetings, took a walk, and went to volleyball. At the beginning of the year, I was pretty cooped up inside, due to my quarantine, so I tried to get out of the house more, and I think I did an okay job of it! On Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's, I don't have volleyball right after 3, so I was able to get out of the house after we picked up Clara from the bus stop. Throughout the day, I try to go on 2-3 walks. Typically one in the morning (after we take Clara to the bus stop), one when I am finished with all of my schoolwork for the day (normally around 12-1), and sometimes (M,W,F) around 3:30 when Clara comes home from school. Getting outside is super helpful to be able to have a productive day!

Also, you can read my Day In The Life to get a full look into my daily life!!

FAVORITES:

One of my FAVORITES from the month of January was THIS L'oreal Skin Paradise tinted moisturizer!
I found this moisturizer at Target, and thought it was great!! I use the lightest color they have, Fair 01, and it matches my skin perfectly. Although, I think in summer I might need to use a darker color. The moisturizer is SUPER easy to spread, and is super even! This makes my skin super smooth and clear looking! It is a great product and a wonderful substitute for foundation!

Another FAVORITE from January were THESE boots from Target!!
These were a Christmas present, but they didn't come in until a week or so into January! They are SUPER cute, comfy, and very stylish!! The color I got was Taupe, and it goes with very many outfits!! So far, I have paired it with a sweater, leggings, and fuzzy socks!! Super cute boots, and 5 stars from me!!

THESE  sweatshirts from Walmart have been a huge FAVORITE in January!
They are VERY comfortable, but you can dress them up or dress them down!! I have one in the orange color, that I pair with THESE navy, textured, leggings! I also have the light pink one above!! Great top, and for a great price!!

SCHOOL:

I had a VERY successful month of schoolwork in January!!

First things first, I finished ALL of my 8th-grade science tests in January!! In our school, we use the program called Summit learning for all of our schoolwork. It has all of the tests and projects right there in one place. That means that we can get as far ahead in tests and projects as we want! I like to be very ahead in tests, and this year I ended up finishing 3 classes worth of 8th-grade tests!
This is what the Summit learning platform looks like!

Aside from finishing all of my science tests, I have been working on projects! In January we worked on a science project called Don't Feel The Heat in which we talked about heat, thermal energy, and worked on building insulators! In English, we worked on a project called A World Of Choices, in this project we worked on poetry analysis, writing poetry, and breaking down poetry. In math, we worked on the math unit called Functions and Volume! Last but not least, history! In history, we worked on a project called Organization of Societies! We didn't get into the checkpoints, just the introduction.

So overall, a super great month of schoolwork, and a low-stress month!

JANUARY AT A GLANCE:

Comments

  1. Fun photos!! I must get that sweater/legging duo. Thanks for the suggestion! I have been loving the athleisure look lately.

I want to try some tinted moisturizer but with my adult acne I have to be super careful. Because some days I don't like wearing full face foundation. Living in Florida it tends to melt.

    1. Yes! I only wear sweaters, leggings, and sweatshirts!!
This one kind of made my face break out, but that was because I wore it during a tournament wear I was sweating constantly, and my face breaks out from that anyways. I didn’t have ANY trouble with melting or sweating it off, and that was me being at a hot volleyball complex and playing!

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Tuesday Talk - A Day In The Life

Hey friends!! Happy Tuesday! Can we just take a step back for a moment and recognize that it is already January the 19th!!?? It has been 19 days into this New Year, and I feel like it all happened in the blink of an eye. It went by so fast. Today is the third Tuesday of the month, so that means it's time for . . . TUESDAY TALK!! Today I will be talking about how my day goes, meaning I will be sharing A Day In The Life! Day In The Life posts are some of my all-time favorite posts to read, so I am super excited to share this one with you! Linking up with Erika and Ashley ! Friday morning I woke up at 5:04 AM, my alarm did not go off, but luckily I roused close to my normal time! Then I checked my sleep app to see how much sleep I got.  After checking that, I laid in bed and read for 10 minutes. This is my favorite way to wake up and quietly prepare myself for the day! Then I got out of bed and went to the kitchen to make myself some breakfast! I made myself some hot tea, and because
