2021 Lent Challenge

Happy Wednesday!! As you might know, today is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent! Lent is the 40 week-day period spanning from today all of the way up until Easter Sunday. On these days, Christians are devoted to fasting in commemoration of Christ's fasting in the wilderness.

This year, instead of giving up an object or food, I have decided to run one mile a day while adding an element of faith to the workout! I may listen to my favorite Christian songs one day or listen to a Christian podcast another. This is such a great way for me to connect and have extra time with God, but also get a great workout done!

I hope you guys like this idea! Thank you to Patty from Good Better Best Food Blog for sharing about this challenge, and inspiring me to share about it here! I hope you all have a wonderful day, and a great Ash Wednesday!

  8. I like this idea. I think we have all given up a ton this last year, so adding something like running each day is a great idea.

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from
