January 2021 Monthly Musings!!

Hey friends!! Happy Thursday!! Today I am so very excited to be sharing with you a little monthly linkup called Monthly Musings that is hosted by two wonderful bloggers!
Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week!
Monday I shared my January Movie Review, Tuesday was my January Book Review, and Wednesday was WUW!!

Linking up with Holly and Patty for Monthly Musings, and Joanne for Encouraging Hearts and Homes!

As you guys know, each month Holly and Patty put together a couple of questions for us to answer! Here are this month's questions!

Here we go!

1. How do you show love? What is your love language?

I recently took a love language test, and here are the results!!

My primary love language is quality time, and honestly, I was not too surprised! I honestly feel the most loved when people spend time with me, and I feel that I show my love most by being with other people! Words of affirmation are my secondary love language.

2. Do you have any fun Valentine's day traditions?

No, not really!! The only thing I can think of would-be school parties, but since I am in middle school we don't have those, and I am assuming we won't have one this year because we are virtual!

3. Favorite Valentine's memory?

Last year, I went to a Valentine's day dance with two of my friends who went to another school and the rest of their grade! We had so much fun! I also remember that was my first time getting asked to dance!! 😂 You guys would not believe how excited I was!!

Also, this wasn't on Valentine's day but it was close, we had a volleyball tournament called Cupid's Battle! We had a blast, and the day after a couple of teammates and I went on a little shopping trip in Birmingham!

4. Favorite Valentine's day treat?

I know a lot of people don't like them, but I LOVE those conversation hearts! I just love reading the message and they taste really good!! One year (this was a while ago), Clara had a ton of Valentine's day candy from her class, and she snuck conversation hearts in her room!! We found the wrappers a couple of days later! That is so funny to me looking back!

5. Do you wear Valentine's day fashion?

I don't have too many Valentine's day themed clothes, but I do wear them all of the time!

Last year, on Valentine's day, Ella and I matched sweaters!! We had such a fun time matching! You can find that sweater HERE!!

Here is a better picture of the actual sweater!

I also LOVE this sweater! Super cute and comfy!

The only picture I could find of it was of me singing while wearing it!!

THIS Ellen Tracy sweater is super cute!!

One last Valentine's day piece of clothing I have is a Walmart sweatshirt that I found in a light pink!!

6. Valentine's day . . . love, like, or hard pass?

I don't mind Valentine's day!! It's really not much of a big deal, but I enjoy the cute sweaters and the conversation hearts!!

7. What do you think is the most romantic song?

I am sure you know that I am a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift, so probably one of her songs!!

Crazier is super sweet, and I love it!

You Belong With Me is pretty romantic, in a high school way!

Lover is too, as well as London Boy!!

The song It's Been A Long, Long Time by Harry James makes me think back to Avengers: Endgame! Peggy and Steve are so cute! Definitely a song that makes me cry, and my heart warm!!

I also love Come and Get Your Love by Redbone! Does anyone else think of this when they hear it?

8. Dine out, take out, or cook this Valentine's day?

Probably take out, or at least I want take out!! If I had to choose, I would choose Chick-Fi-La, my favorite!!!

9. Pink or Red?

PINK ALL THE WAY!!!

Also, red reminds me of Alabama, boo!! War eagle, by the way!!

10. Flowers or Chocolates?

This question is hard!! I love flowers, especially peach colored roses, my absolute favorite!!

BUT

I love chocolate, like LOVE it.

Honestly, I think I would rather get flowers, that honestly surprised me to say that, but yeah! I just feel like flowers are more meaningful than chocolate!

That is a wrap, friends!! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I had fun writing it!! Again, a big thanks to Patty and Holly for hosting this linkup!! Wishing all of you a wonderful day!!

  12. How fun that you are young and documenting your life, like now knowing/remembering when you were asked to dance for the first time. I definitely don't remember that from my younger days.

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from
