This or That: Christmas Edition

Hey there friends!! How are you doing today, good I hope!! There are 3 days until Christmas!! Where has the time gone??!! I am also super surprised that I have posted 22 days in a row, and I still have three more days!! I have loved spending every day with you guys! Today I am sharing a This or That! I saw this idea from Bri’s blog, and I decided I had to post it! Thank you Bri, for the inspiration behind this post! Today Clara is going to be answering all of the questions as well! We are going to have a blast!!

For today’s post, I am linking up with Jen for The Happy Now, Beverly & Gloria for Beautifully Made, Melissa for Farm Fresh Tuesdays, and Shelbee for Spread The Kindness! I hope you guys enjoy!

1. Home Alone OR A Christmas Story?
Me: Home Alone 100%!! I don't have anything against A Christmas Story, I just don't watch it as much. On the other hand, I watch Home Alone all the time!! I just love it, and it will never get old!

Clara: Home Alone I guess, because it's funny and I like to watch it with my sister! Home Alone is really silly, and it always makes me laugh!

2. Hot Coffee OR Hot Chocolate?
Me: I just don't associate coffee with Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, but I would MUCH rather have hot chocolate than coffee! One coffee I do love is the white chocolate mocha from Starbucks!! It is so good.

Clara: Hot chocolate because it's delicious to have on a Christmas morning! I drink hot chocolate a lot during December! I would do anything to get hot chocolate.

3. Gift Giving or Gift Receiving?
Me: I just love giving a good gift! When I was little, I used to like gift-receiving more, but now that I am older and play a bigger role in Clara's Christmas, it is so much more fun to give!! I am just so excited to see Clara's face when she sees all of the gifts I've picked out for her. Especially the Ninja Course for the backyard, this one is going to be from Santa, but it will still be so exciting to see how happy she is about it!! I just cannot wait!! You can see my full Girl's Gift Guide HERE! Me and my silly sis!!

Clara: Gift-giving because it is fun to see the person's face when they open a present from you! I am most excited about the gift I am giving my sister, because it is very special!

4. Holiday Pies or Holiday Cookies?
Me: Since this is more of a Christmas holiday This or That, I am leaning towards cookies. When I think of holiday pie, I think of Thanksgiving not Christmas. When I think of holiday cookies, I think of decorating sugar cookies! This year, instead of making cookies, we made coffee cakes and banana bread, it was a hit!

Clara: Holiday cookies because they are delicious and sweet. I love making holiday cookies and decorating them. I like to put lots of icing on them! Also, holiday cookies are delicious!

5. Grinch or Elf?
Me: Grinch all the way!! I have been loving the original Grinch movie for so long, and have been loving the new 2018 version even more! I don't think I have seen the movie Elf all of the way through, it's just not my favorite, and I don't make the effort to watch it often. Clara and I took a selfie while watching The Grinch recently!
Clara: Grinch because it is a silly movie. I love to watch it all of the time, even when it's not Christmas! The Grinch is a very sweet and funny movie.

6. Real Tree or Fake Tree?
Me: I have always loved having a real tree. For my whole life we had a real tree, but this year we had a fake one. The one we got is beautiful, and it was free, but I think I still am leaning towards a real tree! There is nothing like vacuuming up those pine needles! Ella and I by our tree!

Clara: (She contemplated this one for a while) Fake I guess, because the cats don't mess with the fake tree as much.

7. Ugly Christmas Sweater or Christmas Jammies?
Me: I don't have or wear an ugly Christmas sweater, so jammies all the way! Every Christmas Eve night, Santa comes and puts surprise Christmas pajamas on the end of our bed! This is such a fun tradition, and I love getting a new pair of pj's!!

Clara: Jammies for sure!!! I love them because they are comfortable and fun to wear on Christmas morning! When I wake up on Christmas morning Santa has brought us new Christmas pajamas! This is such a fun thing to get!

Friends, I hope you enjoyed reading this! Clara and I had such a fun time discussing each question and answering for you guys! This is Clara's first time getting to see how each blog post is written, and she really enjoyed it! She kept asking me if I could interview her in a different post! Wishing you all a wonderful, wonderful day! See you here again tomorrow!

  2. such a fun post! but elf 100%! it is the best!! i have never even watched the grinch the whole way through! just once at ny churches at the movies series😂

  3. Awe! Love that you and Clara did this! You are a wonderful big sister. ❤️

  4. I love this format, fun and easy. Wishing you and Clara a Merry Christmas and Healthy New Year..

  5. I don't ever drink coffee so my answer is always hot chocolate and I am with you in that I don't own (nor have I ever owned) an ugly Christmas sweater.

    1. Yes, hot chocolate is so good! We always have pajamas, and never sweaters!

  6. Your right - Hot chocolate is totally made for Christmas!

  7. Love this idea for a post! Have a wonderful Christmas!

  8. I am so glad that you answered them too! I love that you said the Grinch! And I think pies are more for Thanksgiving too. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!!

  9. This is such a fun post idea! We watched Home Alone last weekend! One of my favorites!

    Jill - Doused in Pink

  10. Abby, that was super fun to read! I pretty much agree with all of your choices except I need my coffee all day every day and hot chocolate only every now and then! This was the first year we got a real tree instead of a fake one. But it's only about 3 feet tall in a pot so it's not that messy! I hope you and your family have an amazing Christmas! Thanks for spreading your cheer in blogland!

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Friday Favorites - 1.19.21 + A Big Surprise!!

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
