Our Favorite Holiday Books

Hey guys!! Happy happy Wednesday! We have made it to the middle of the week! Y'all, there are NINE days until Christmas! How crazy is that!! Today I am sharing all of our favorite Holiday books!! I am linking up with Lindsay for Wednesday Chat, and Joanne for Encouraging Hearts and Homes!! Also, make sure to follow me on Goodreads HERE!!

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson

This book is so sweet! We normally read this on the way to Auburn to see our family! The book is about the Herdman siblings, known as the worst kids in history, who take over the annual Christmas pageant at their church. This book is so heartwarming and very funny! Such a sweet read!

Mortimer's Christmas Manger by Karma Wilson

This book is so cute. The illustrations in the book are so cute and sweet as well!
The book is about Mortimer, a mouse, who is cramped and uncomfortable in his hole. So he goes exploring around the house to find a new home. He finds a nativity and settles himself into the manger. Mortimer soon realizes that the statues are Mary, Joseph, and Jesus and returns them to their places.
It sounds adorable, doesn't it!!

Who Is Coming To Our House? by Joseph Slate
This is also another illustrated, sweet children's book. It is about all of the animals who live in the barn, and are preparing for Baby Jesus to come. It is so, so sweet! You can read it with the whole entire family.

Pete The Cat Saves Christmas by Eric Litwin and James Dean
We love Pete the Cat! Especially the one about his white shoes, and how they turn red then blue, then back to white again!! This one is super cute! Pete has to fill in for Santa Paws, and he saves Christmas!! Super sweet story!

Room for a Little One: A Christmas Tale by Martin Waddell
In the barn where baby Jesus is born, all of the big animals keep saying to the smaller animal, "There is always room for a little one." Then, when Mary and Joseph come they say, "There is always room for a little one." It is so sweet, and the illustrations are very pretty!

The Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore
This book is a classic! Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!!

Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett
My whole family loves Gingerbread Baby! The story and illustrations are so fun and lively! Such a sweet, sweet book!

One Snowy Night by M. Christina Butler
First off, isn't this cover so cute!!?? This story is about a little hedgehog who is caught unprepared for winter!

Let it Snow: Three Holiday Romances by Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle, and John Green
This book was one of Ella and I's Monthly Book Club books for December! I really enjoyed reading it! It was such a fun, and sweet read!

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
This was also one of our Book Club books!! I actually enjoyed this book, it was a sweet read! It was as good as Let It Snow, but I still enjoyed it!

The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
I liked this book better than the first one! This one was obviously more Christmasy, and I think that's why I liked it better!

Mind the Gap Dash & Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
This was the third installment of the Dash & Lily series! It was pretty good, but I don't know if it was my favorite!!

The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss
I LOVED this book!! This was my favorite holiday read of the month!! It was so, so sweet! A great holiday read!!

We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from
