Guys, today is a very, very special day!! It’s That’s Life For Ya’s one year anniversary!! One year, 365 days, 8,765 hours, and 525, 949 minutes that this blog has been around! How crazy is that! I have thoroughly enjoyed being a blogger, and getting to connect with you guys! Blogging means the world to me, and I am so thankful for you guys sticking around and reading my blog! I hope you guys enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy blogging!! If you want a blast from the past, you can check out my very first blog post HERE!!!!
Today I am very excited to share with you a...Monthly Musings!! This is the first time I have shared a monthly musings, and I am very excited!! For this post, I am linking up with Holly for this Monthly Musings post! So excited!!
Here are this month’s questions!!
1. If you celebrate Christmas, what are your traditions?
I do celebrate Christmas, but we don’t really have too many traditions! We always have a Christmas tree, and normally on Christmas Eve we will go see our family in Auburn, but that is it as far as traditions go!!
One tradition I can think of, would be that during the night “Santa” brings us our Christmas pj’s!! I love waking up and seeing new pajamas on my bed!! I remember once the pajamas slipped down the side of my bed, and I couldn’t find them anywhere and I thought that Santa didn’t bring me any pajamas!! Wow, best Christmas story ever, right!!
This was Clara and I on Christmas morning last year!!
2. If you celebrate Hanukkah, what are your traditions?
My family and I do not celebrate Hanukkah.
3. What are your holiday plans this year?
Actually, I’m not super sure what our plans are yet. We might have a family Christmas on Christmas Eve with Nana, Sarah, and Malcolm or we might see each other on Christmas! No matter what our plans are, I am super excited!!
4. Favorite recipe you are willing to share?
I don’t have any of our Christmasy recipes with me right now. :( I will say this though, we normally see our family Christmas Eve and have a nice Christmas dinner, and then have a fancy breakfast on Christmas Day! Last year we had this DELICIOUS and super easy, three ingredient casserole! It was a sausage breakfast casserole that was amazing! All it was, was 1 pound sausage, 8 ounces cream cheese, and 2 cans of crescent rolls!! So yummy! I’m really hoping we have it for breakfast again this year!!
5. What are you most looking forward to in 2021?
I think I am really looking forward to the hope that 2021 is going to bring. I’m sorry, but 2020, you were just awful!!! I feel like a lot of people have lots of hope going into 2021, and that is a great thing! It’s nice to know that we are done with the crazy year of 2020, and that it will be easier to face things when we have a hopeful outlook! 2021, you better live up to everyone’s expectations! ;)
6. Gift wrapping...love it or hate it?
I don’t actually do too much of the gift wrapping! I would like to think that I’m not too bad! Now, my Mom does most of the wrapping (actually, all of it) but I will occasionally help!! For now I will let my Mom do it, she is REALLY good at it! Love ya Momma!
7. What are you having as your holiday meal?
I’m not sure! I’ll let you guys know when we figure out our plan for a Christmas!!
8. Open gifts Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning, all of the way!! Occasionally we will open one present Christmas Eve, but I would rather save it for Christmas Day!! It’s so exciting to open things on a sunny, pretty morning, rather than night. That’s just personal preference though!
9. What are you doing for New Years Eve?
I hate to say it again, but I’m not completely sure!! I think that I might be hanging with a friend, but it might just be with family! Either way, I can’t wait!
Here is us actually enjoying it being 2020, wow! I can’t believe we were excited to walk into our doom! ;)
10. Do you have a word for 2021?
Yes, I do, a couple actually!!
Dear 2021, please, please, please be better than 2020! You’ve got a lot riding on you! Also, can Auburn beat Bama this year, please?!!
Friends, I had the best time sharing these Monthly Musings with you, and sharing one hears worth of blogging with you!! Have a wonderful day! I will see you here tomorrow for some Friday Favorites!
