What’s Up Wednesday - 10.28.20

Hey there!! Happy Wednesday!! Today is one of my favorite days of the month, because it’s time for What’s Up Wednesday! Not only am I excited for What’s Up Wednesday, but I am also super excited for Halloween!! I am counting down the days until Saturday!! Since it’s the week of Halloween, I am posting Monday-Friday! You can read Monday’s post on a Weekend Recap: 10.23-10.25 HERE! You can read Tuesday’s post on Halloween Decor 2020 HERE! Today I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to bring you this post!

1. What We’re Eating This Week:

This week we are having spinach and steak salads, egg whites, spinach, and red onions, pork loin, and a spaghetti!!

The steak salad is amazing! We make a honey and cayenne dressing to go with it that is so good! We also add mandarin oranges and pickled red onions!

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

Since it’s almost Halloween, I can’t help but think about last years Halloween! Halloween 2019 was the BEST!! Kate, Ella, and I all were dressed up as Sully, Mike Wasowski, and Boo from Monster’s Inc! We had such a great time, and I cannot wait for Saturday! This time Ella, Kate, Mary Hayden, and I are dressing up as little aliens! On Monday of next week I am doing a full Halloween recap, so make sure to check it out! CCJ Club Volleyball tryouts are next Saturday, and I so excited for them!! I have been thinking about my travel team a lot, and I miss them so much. We had such fun times together!

3. What I’m Loving:

I am loving THIS new long sleeve crew neck plush tee I got at Old Navy in the kids section!! It’s SUPER comfortable and really cute! I can’t wait to wear it with leggings or jeans (if I ever have to actually get ready).

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

I am still doing virtual school, and I love it! Clara switched back to traditional school and is going everyday! She loves it so much! Now at home it’s just me and Mom, and we have a great time! We do our workouts after lunch, and we go on our bike rides twice a day!! I also have been going on runs with Maddie in the mornings!

Tuesday was such a pretty morning, and we ended up going two miles!!

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything at the moment. I do have a big history project coming up in a month or so, and I am dreading having to finish all of that!!

6. What I’m Working On:

I have been working hard in my school work, and I am proud to say that I have finished ALL of my Power Focus Areas in my English class! Power Focus Areas are our main tests, in addition to them we have Additional Focus Areas that aren’t required but still count for pert of our grades! My goal is to finish those up by the first week of November! Besides English, I have been working on the first couple of checkpoint on my history project!

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am so very excited for Halloween!! I am also VERY excited about a bible study that is started soon with a couple of my friends who are also doing virtual school! We are starting the first week of November, and we are using the book Looking For Lovely! I’m also excited for the start of travel volleyball!!

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I will be posting my October Book Review soon! In the month of October, I started out very strong with finishing books but then I had so much school work that I never really had a chance to get around to reading! I will share one of my favorite books from this month! I read The Siren, by Kiera Cass and it was great! It was such a well written book, and it kept me engaged the whole time!! The Voice is back on TV, and I have really enjoyed watching it!!

9. What I’m Listening To:

Right now I am listening to a Science zoom meeting for school!! Lots of zoom meetings going on over here!

10. What I’m Wearing:

It is super hot in Alabama. STILL. So I’ve been wearing the usual of T-shirts and shorts, occasionally with leggings!

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

Saturday morning I will be waking up early to go to Clara’s first volleyball game!! I am so excited for her!! 💗 After that I will be headed to Kate’s house to hang out with the girls and watch scary movies!! So excited! Then at 2:30 we are turning on the Auburn game VS. LSU. I am super nervous. Then we’ll get ready, take pictures, and head out to Trick or Treat! Then we are spending the night together!!

12. What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month:

I am so looking forward to cool weather, Thanksgiving, and travel volleyball!!

13. What Else Is New:

Nothing else is new! Same old thing, but we are still loving it!!

Guys, that’s all I have for you today!! I hope you enjoyed this post!! I will see you guys tomorrow, with my Halloween Playlist 2020!! So excited!

  1. Sounds like you are doing so well with virtual schooling. I love that your schedule gives you lots of free time to do stuff with friends and family. Can't wait to hear all about your Halloween.

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Friday Favorites - 1.19.21 + A Big Surprise!!

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
