A Few of My Favorite Things: Fall Edition

Hello Monday!! Today I am so excited to share with you A Few of My Favorite Things: Fall Edition! But first check out a couple of my recent posts if you missed them!

I have been so excited for this post, and I hope you guys enjoy!

My all time FAVORITE thing about fall, is Auburn Football!!!
I LOVE to watch college football, especially Auburn football! I love going to the games when it’s cold outside! It always feels like fall when Auburn Football is on! War Eagle!

Another fall FAVORITE is cool weather!!! By the end of August the heat is awful and is not tolerable in Alabama. So when the cool weather rolls out, it feels AMAZING! Although the weather is not consistent (at all), it is so nice to have to wear long sleeves and a jacket! Which brings me to the next thing!

Another fall FAVORITE of mine is that it’s Sweater Season! I am a HUGE sweater fan! During fall my wardrobe is alternating between long sleeve shirts, leggings, jeans, and sweater all paired with duck boots! One of my all time favorite sweaters, is THIS that I got from Costco but they aren’t selling it any more so the link is from Amazon. THIS cardigan is from Costco and I got it a couple of days ago! It is definitely going to be added to my winter wardrobe, but for now I wear it on my zoom meetings when I am cold and all around the house.

Another fall FAVORITE is drinking a mug of basically anything warm! I love a good hot chocolate, I love me some hot tea, and I love anything pumpkin spice. Also, when I think of fall I think of home made soups and chili! I do not like having hot foods in summer, so once it gets cold my family brings out all of our comfort foods! While we are on the topic of fall foods, I am seriously in love with Costco’s pumpkin cheesecake rolls! They are literally to die for! Next time you go to Costco, this is a must have!

When fall comes around, it means some of the best holidays are just around the corner! Getting into the holiday spirt (whether it be fall, Halloween, or Christmas), is a HUGE FAVORITE of mine! At the beginning of fall, I love picking out the perfect pumpkins and decorating the house! I love getting dressed up for Halloween and trick or treating with my friends! I cannot wait for this year! Then, once it gets cold listening to Christmas music! I know that that’s a big no for some people, but honestly when it’s cold outside I start getting into the Christmas spirit!

My last fall FAVORITE is sitting by the fire, and busting out those flannel sheets. I love having a nice fire going in the fire place and having a fire outside as well! I also love getting to have flannel sheets on my bed! Unfortunately, in Alabama it doesn’t get cold enough for that stuff until November, but when it is time we have fires as often as possible!

Guys, I hope you enjoyed this post! There are a hundred other things that I could’ve mentioned that are my favorites, but I am very curious as to what you guys favorite things about fall are! Today I am linking up with Heather for Hello Monday!
I hope you guys have a wonderful Monday, and a great beginning to your four day week! See you back here on Wednesday. Thanks so much for reading!

  1. Hey Abby,

Great post! It's a good reminder that there is so much to be thankful for. I love all the Fall colors. I know this answer is hardly unique. However, I was born and raised in San Diego, a city with one season—hot Summer and not so hot Summer. Our leaves never really changed.

Since our move to Minnesota three years ago, I finally get what all the excitement is about! The Fall colors are amazing. And this year is the brightest it's been since our move. We love it!

Wishing you and your family an amazing Fall season!

  2. I love sweater weather, hot cocoa, and soup & stews... the only thing I don't like about fall is that winter comes after it and I am not a big fan of snow and cold weather.

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Friday Favorites - 1.19.21 + A Big Surprise!!

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
