What's Up Wednesday - 7.29.20

Hey there!! It is already the last Wednesday of the month, and it is time for this month's edition of What's Up Wednesday hosted by Sheaffer and Shay! Before we dive in, I wanted to give you a volleyball update! I made the middle school volleyball team!! I also just wanted to let y’all know that fellow blogger and best friend Kate has changed her blog name to!! Please check out her blog, she is at the beach now but she will be back to blogging next Wednesday!!! Okay, with out further ado here is my What’s Up Wednesday!!

1. What We're Eating This Week:
This week we are maker lighter things, and we are going to have to make it earlier in the after noon because I am having to leave for band at three thirty, and I don't come back until seven thirty.
Monday we are making Mushu's Moo Shu, it is a recipe from The Disney Princess Cookbook that Clara (my little sister) got for her birthday one year! This little cook book has some really great recipes! You can find it HERE
This recipe is very simple, all you will need is:
3 tsp vegetable oil    1 tsp ginger powder    4 cups broccoli slaw mix    1 lb pork tenderloin, cooked and sliced    1/4 cup hoisin sauce    salt to taste    flour tortillas, warmed
1. Heat the oil in a large, nonstick frying pan or wok over medium-heat. Add ginger powder and stir for 1 minute.
2. Add the broccoli slaw to the pan, and turn up the heat a little. Stir-fry the vegetables for 4 to 5 minutes. Cook them just long enough for them to darken a little, but not lose their crunch.
3. Turn the heat down to medium, and stir in the pork and hoisin sauce. Continue cooking the moo shu for another 2 minutes to heat it through. Add salt to taste.
4. When you are ready to eat, spoon the moo shu into a warm tortilla and enjoy!
Tuesday we are having ground turkey in a mix with noodles and broccoli! It is very filling and is super easy and doesn't take long to make!
Wednesday we are having leftovers.
Thursday we are having take-out!
Friday we are having breakfast for dinner.

2. What I'm Reminiscing About:
This week is the second week of band camp, and I can't stop thinking about last year's band camp! All of us have grown so so much in a year!
This was band camp last year!

3. What I'm Loving:
On the Fourth of July on our Target Pickup order I got THIS mini waffle maker!! It is absolutely adorable and I love it!! The first day I got it I just made the normal waffles, and they were amazing!
Then one morning before band, I made banana bread waffles! They were so good!!
I have been LOVING this mini waffle maker so so very much! You can find it at Target HERE! You can also find it in a regular size HERE!!
On Sunday my mom texted my dad about one of my birthday presents and my dad’s phone was connected to the TV so we all saw it, so I ended up getting one present early!! It was THESE super cute sunglasses!!! I love them!! They fit my face really well, and I love the color!!

Also one other thing that I am seriously LOVING are Sandwich Thins!! We started getting them at Publix about a month ago and we LOVE them!! We tend to have to order about two boxes every time we go shopping at Publix! You can find them HERE!! Also I don’t think I have mentioned this, but there is a Publix being built right by our neighborhood!! So happy (is it bad to love Publix so much)?! Also sorry to keep going on and on, but do y’all get groceries delivered or do you go to the store yourselves? We use the Shipt for all of our groceries!!

4. What We've Been Up To:
I am always reading! Right now (this is as of Saturday) I am finishing up Eragon! By the time this comes out I might be on another book! My book review is coming out tomorrow (Thursday)! Update, I finished Eragon on Sunday and I am now on Eldest!

On Saturday's I always get up and bake something! This Saturday I made brownies and banana bread!
We have all been cuddling with Pip whenever we can!! He has already gotten so much bigger than he was when we got him!!! When we left for the beach for about five or six days, he looked like he had grown noticeably during that time!!

This sweet kitty jumped up on my bed one morning for a little bit of cuddle time!! Other than lots of cuddles and reading, I have been at band from 4 PM to 7:30 PM! We have also been swimming a lot!!! On Sunday after we watched the online church service we all went swimming! For me it was mostly laying out and reading!! Then after lunch Dad and I played some volleyball in the pool!
5. What I'm Dreading:
I am not really dreading anything that much! I mean I am always cautious about corona and everything, but there is nothing in particular that I am dreading that much!

6. What I'm Working On:
I am working on my blog, working on trying to memorize all of my music, and always trying to practice volleyball as much as I can!

7. What I'm Excited About:
I am super excited for Midnight Sun to come out! I have it pre-ordered and it is coming the day it comes out (August 4th)!! I am so pumped to read it!!!!! I am also VERY excited for my birthday coming up!! I am turning 13 on August 7th!! I am so excited to finally be 13!

  8. What I'm Watching/Reading:
I am super excited for my June & July Book Review that is coming out tomorrow!! I have read a lot of books in these two months and I am super excited to blog about them!! Right now I am re-reading The Eragon series and I am on the second book!!
In July I read The Help!! Hands down my new favorite book!!! It is so amazing! It was funny, sweet, and so real! It really opens your eyes to see how rascist people were to African Americans and we are still seeing it today.
I also watched the movie upon finishing the book, and it was probably the best movie based on a book! It stuck with what happened in the book and they didn’t change it!
Other than watching Jessie on Disney+ with my sister, I have just recently started The Last Dance!! It is all about The Bulls NBA team! It is very interesting and I really really like it!!!

9. What I’m Listening To:
Other than listening to my show music playing in my head over and over, I have started listening to the WOAH That’s Good Podcast!!! It is a Christian podcast hosted by Sadie Robertson. Each episode she has a guest speaker come and talk.

10. What I’m Wearing:
I have been wearing lots of sunscreen, and t-shirts and shorts!!!

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:
On Saturday I am probably going to bake something!! I kind of want to make chocolate chip cookies!! Sunday I am going to join my youth group zoom meeting, and then watch the online church service!

12. What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month:
I am looking forward to my birthday which is in nine days!!! I am looking forward to volleyball games to start, and for football to come back!!!! I am looking forward to school starting as well!!!

13. What Else Is New:
Nothing else is new here!!!

Well, that is all that I have for you today!!! I hope you enjoyed!! If you missed my post from Friday you can see it HERE! And you can read my Monday post HERE! Have a great day, and I will see you tomorrow with my June and July Book Review!!!!

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Friday Favorites - 1.19.21 + A Big Surprise!!

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
