What's Up Wednesday - 5/27/20

Yay! Today is one of my favorite days of the month!! It is time for What's Up Wednesday!! This is the third day of our school being officially out, which for me means it is basically summer!! Like every What's Up Wednesday, I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay!! Here is my What's Up Wednesday!!

1. What We're Eating This Week:
We didn't meal plan this week, but I know we have a rough idea of what we are having. I know we are grilling, having fajitas, making BLT's, and having pasta salad! Because it is now summer (for me), the days are running together like crazy!

2. What I'm Reminiscing About:
For the first part of our auditions for the drum line we had to submit a couple rudiment videos. This made me think about my awesome first year with the marching band! I was so lucky to have gotten to have a part in the show!! I miss the band so so much! We had so much fun playing in the stands, marching our show, and going to competitions!

3. What I'm Loving:
I just recently finished reading the book Red Queen!! It is so amazing!! I started it on Friday night, and then I finished it Saturday afternoon! I could not put it down!! This was the best book!! I mean, it might be my new favorite book series of all time!! I think I am starting the next one (Glass Sword) sometime soon!! I am so excited for it though! This book has been one of the things I have been loving!! Another thing that I am loving (it's another book), is The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes!! I had been looking forward to this since I finished The Hunger Games!! It was such an amazing book! It was the back story of President Snow from the original Hunger Games Series! It was amazing, but it made me dislike President Snow even more!!! It was awesome, and I am so glad I read it!! You can order it HERE!

4. What We've Been Up To:
Honestly, our quarantine days have all run together! We haven't really been up to much! I mean, we have been swimming a lot! I have been also been sitting by the pool, and reading ALL day long!!

5. What I'm Dreading:
I am honestly not really dreading anything at the moment. I mean yes, I am always cautious in these times, but nothing big is coming up that I'm dreading.

6. What I'm Working On:
Ahh! As much as I hate to admit it, I have been pretty lazy! I have been working on my blog and on cross stitching, but that is it! I am also working on reading every single book in the world. Just kidding! But sometimes when I fly through a book and go to the next one it feels like I am trying to read every single book! Luckily, I have a "home library" (as I like to call it), and even though I have read almost everything in it, it still keeps me going!

7. What I'm Excited About:
Y'all, I am already extremely excited for  1. Band Camp, and  2. Midnight Sun!! Band camp doesn't happen until end of July and early August, but I am still excited for it!! Midnight Sun is a Twilight book. It is basically the first book, but from Edward's view and not Bella's. I am super excited for it, AND it comes out three days before my birthday!! You can pre-order it HERE!!

8. What I'm Watching/Reading:
I am so excited for my May 2020 Book Review, because it consists of some of my favorite books!! In May I have read Anne of Green Gables (I had read this before, but this time I read the longer unabridged version), The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Percy Jackson (this is a re-read for me), and Red Queen! All of these books are amazing, and I feel like I flew through reading them!
Can't wait!!
I am so sad that The Voice is over, but we have been watching Songland and The Titan Games in it's place. I am also finishing up watching the Twilight Movies, which are not as good as the books!

9. What I'm Listening To:
I have been listening to LOTS of K-Love!!

10. What I'm Wearing:
Nike shorts, t-shirts, and tennishoes! Sometimes I will wear my favorite tennis skirt!!

11. What I'm Doing This Weekend:
The same thing I do every weekend, sleeping in, and going swimming!

12. What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month:
I am super excited for our annual beach trip with our family friends, the Foremans! I am so excited for it! We always go at the end of May, but this time we postponed it for the end of June!

13. What Else Is New:
Nothing else is new! Just the same thing!

Okay, I hope y'all enjoyed! I know this was a little rushed, but I didn't end up working on this until late! Y'all stay save, and have fun! Have a great rest of your day, and I will see you right here on Friday with my Friday Favorites and my May 2020 Book Review!!

Love Abby!!

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Friday Favorites - 1.19.21 + A Big Surprise!!

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
