A Day In The Life

Hey hey!! Man, it is Tuesday! These weeks have been a blur!!! Due to the ongoing situation in the world, our school campus is closed for the rest of the year! I went to school the Wednesday before spring break thinking that I would come back after spring break, but while me and my high school band was in Orlando we decided to close for the rest of the year! I miss my friends so so much, and I wish I could have said a proper goodbye, but life will go on! To look on the bright side, I get to sleep in an extra two hours than my normal wake up time!  Yesterday we started our official online schooling!! I have a schedule and I plan to stick to it! It was SUPER fun getting to zoom with my homeroom class! But anyways...on with the blog post! I am just going to be sharing with you my new routine for the week!!

Wake up!!
My alarm goes off at 6:20 so that I can wake up! It takes me a WHILE to finally get out of bed and get going with the day! I wake up at 6:20 I read for 15 minutes or so, do my devotion, then I get up and eat breakfast!

Breakfast!!
Breakfast for me has just been something light and easy so that I can eat a snack around 10:00 AM, and then eat lunch around 12:00. For breakfast, I drink English Breakfast tea, a strawberry yogurt drink, and a protein bar. It is perfect for me since I don't really like eating a big breakfast! Today I had tea with mini cinnamon rolls!! My fav!
By the way, I had a super awesome picture of my Dad and I at breakfast because we were only ones awake! #earlyrisers #itwasonlybecauseofmyalarm Anyways, I couldn't the picture to upload, but I just wanted to say that I love you dad and I love being able to spend more time with you!!

Getting Ready!!
Getting ready over the break cuts my normal getting ready time in half! Picking out an outfit takes half as long (normally I have just been wearing a t-shirt and shorts)!! Then I fix my hair and throw on a little makeup, and I am ready to go!!
All ready for the day! I am just wearing my "fancy" shorts and shirt! It is just a cute tank top with my white shorts, my super cute necklace, and I curled my hair just for fun!

School Work!!
None of my classes have required zoom class times, but for today I have a mentoring meeting that I am super pumped about! This will be our first zoom with our whole class!! In the meantime,  I will study for a test or read our next book for English (we are reading The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton). I have read it before, but I love it!!  The other big thing I have today is my math lesson *sigh* we have to watch an hour long video our teacher sent us on how to do our next lesson, but maybe I will make it through!
Yay math! I am being sarcastic by the way! The video was completely different then the checkpoint was supposed to be, so I skipped the video and just did the work! Yay me!

For the rest of the day, nothing else is really required except for PE, which we use ALEX and I also make sure that I go outside and at least do one of these things; play basketball, read in our hammock, sit by the pool (or swim), jump on the trampoline, walk the dogs, brush the dogs, play volleyball, play baseball, or finally play badminton!! You know, it is kind of funny how I complain that I am bored, until I make a list of the things I can do, and there are a ton of things on it!!! ;) The one other thing for school I have to do is practice for band! We use this thing called Smart Music, and our band director can assign us work from there!
Today we did a bit of...
Chalk!! I absolutely LOVE this verse!
Hammock time!! Also, I didn't realize how the American flag is in the background!! #MERICA
Clara loves our hammock, and spending extra quality time with her is a dream come true!!
Also, Clara told me to tell ALL of you, that she loves ya'll!!

Also, oh my goodness I just said "also" again!! As I was saying, I am one of those people who can read a book in one day!! This afternoon I picked up Twilight from our library curbside pick-up! I kind of maybe might have sat in the pool chair and read that book for two to three hours!! So good!! Thank you SOOOOO much Ella for finding me this book!!
I LOVE IT!! My eyes are glued to the pages!!

Workout!!
Over the break I have had a ton of free time, so I am trying to get stronger for when our travel volleyball season resumes (if it resumes). After I am finished with my school work, I rotate between these workouts: on our workout bike (I either just ride easy for thirty minutes, or watch a class on the Les Mills website), another workout I do is our work out bands they come with a book on different workouts and a schedule to do it, my last thing is just homemade workout that I made myself (it includes going on a jog, push-ups, sit-ups, and a couple of things with dumbbells)!! I rotate between these every day, and Sunday is my rest day!!

After all of that, my day is almost over!! I shower, eat dinner, read to my little sister and help put her to bed, watch an episode of a show, read in bed, and go to sleep, but on Monday we all watch The Voice!! I love this show, and we all watch it together!! After typing all of that, it seems like I do a TON of stuff in one day but somehow the day still goes by in what seems like a flash!! That basically wraps up my day! I hope you enjoyed reading through my daily agenda, and please let me know what yours is too!

Love Abby!!

Let’s Look - Coffee Area!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited that it is the first Let’s Look of the year! Today we are taking a look into my coffee area!! Linking up with Shay and Erika !  To be honest, I don't drink coffee on a daily basis! Don't get me wrong, I love coffee, and I would drink it every day, but I just drink tea instead! I love hot tea a tiny bit more than coffee! So yeah, I love coffee, but I don't need it every day. Before we get into it, check out my posts from earlier this week! Monday I shared a Christmas 2020 Recap , and Tuesday I shared my Makeup Haul ! Let’s get into it! This is one coffee maker! We have the Keurig, and the water Hamilton Beach water boiler! We got out Keurig a couple of years ago from Costco, and I fell in love immediately! You can make five different cup sizes, and it makes iced coffee as well!  Since I don't do much of the coffee drinking around my house, here is the coffee that my parents use! As for me, I drink Twining’s English Breakfast

Friday Favorites - 1.19.21 + A Big Surprise!!

Hey friends!! Happy Fri-YAY, the best day of the week!! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like this week has gone by SUPER fast! I measure the time of my week by WandaVision episodes, and it seems like I just saw Episode 6!! 😂 Today, like always, I will be sharing my FAVORITES from this week + this week I have a little  BIG surprise for you all to see! I can't wait!! Let's get into it! *Linking up with Erika , Andrea , Shelbee , Nancy My first FAVORITE of the day is also my BIG surprise!!  So as you all know, our sweet pup Maddie passed away a couple of weeks ago. We missed having a dog so much, and it was so hard for all of us. So, we started looking for dogs. We connected with the West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue, and they found a male puppy in Prattville, which is so close to us. At first, we weren't sure if he was available for adoption or even fostering. It turns out he was! On Saturday, Mom picked up him from the shelter, and when I got home from

Friday Favorites - It’s 2021!!

Hey friends!! Happy 2021! I am still amazed that we left 2020 behind, and are now experiencing 2021!! What a year 2020 was, and I am hoping 2021 can be at least a little bit better. Today I am sharing a huge haul of favorites from my Christmas Break, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s, and recent thing too!  As usual, I am linking up  with  Erika  and  Andrea , and Shelbee Before I get into this post, I would like to slow down and talk about some of the things happening in America right now. On Wednesday, led by the president, there was an insurrection, people broke into the US Capitol, and people died. This is wrong on so many levels, but this goes even deeper. Back in the Summer, people supporting Black Lives Matter were peacefully protesting and were tear-gassed so that our president could pose for a couple of photos. The people who were rioting outside of the capitol, and eventually some broke in, were not tear-gassed away, and they were breaking into the Capitol. People were shot
